Post a Comment Would you like to live in a city where technology is in your service, where you feel good because the functionality is living with the aesthetic beauty?
Imagine a living city that breathes and moves with you.
Imagine to live in a place where all details are fancy, where all urban services are automated to satisfy your needs.
A city with no architectural barriers, with a rational style inspired by nature.
The london architect Heatherwick has taken a step to make this possible.
He has observed and analyzed the lifting bridges: when they aren’t in function the bridges are divided in two parts like a fracture, damaging the idea of continuity streets. The city should be an unique and organic unit, liveable and hospitable.
The architect’s commitment technology has allowed his team to install a retractable bridge in the city of London: when it doesn’t work becomes an extraordinary urban 3d design, nice to see and perfectly contestualized in the landscape.
The taste for technological elements can be understood from the choose to leave out the mechanisms, as the style of high- teck or Archigram Group.
He imagined that the two poles of the bridge touched like a hug to let the wondering in our eyes.
